JP VENTER is a seasoned business advisor and industrial psychologist who has been in private practice for the past 10 years.
Experience: He has conducted organisational development and change management in the military and he has also been a senior lecturer in industrial psychology at Master’s level at UNISA. He has worked as a productivity advisor and project manager at Productivity SA, doing training and organisational restructuring amongst other things. More recently he has been in private practice, concentrating on organisational turnarounds and court expert work. Concurrently with his practice, he was MD of Biz Loans (Pty) Ltd from 2011 to 2015, assisting informal and small registered businesses with development finance.
Education & Accreditations: MComm (UP), MBL (UNISA). He is registered as an industrial psychologist and is an Accredited Associate of the Institute for Independent Business. He is also a full member of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology where he sits on the leadership committee of the psycho-legal interest group.
Skills & Core Competencies: By using organisational behaviour expertise to maximise people productivity, JP is able to conduct organisational turnarounds by diagnosing organisational issues, then finding and project managing the right people to effect change. He also handles psychological assessments for placement and development and, in tandem with this, he designs suitable organisational structures and pay grades.
