PAUL WHALLEY has more than 20 years of corporate global leadership experience, in addition to starting up and running a number of technology, engineering and professional services businesses. Experience: Managing director of the African subsidiary of a global IT company and grew it into one of the largest software application vendors in Southern Africa. He has worked closely with businesses as diverse as MTN, Eskom, British Aerospace, NASA, IBM, PWC, Deloitte, Wits Business School, GIBS, University of Pretoria, University of Johannesburg and the Branson Centre of Entrepreneurship. Also with technology and government organisations in France, Canada, USA, UK and South Africa. In 2006 he established Trysail Consulting – a sales, marketing, leadership and strategy consultancy. Since then he has worked with more than 100 business leaders and management teams across a wide spectrum of industries, helping them achieve significant bottom line performance improvement in their organisations.
Education & Accreditations: A professional engineer with a BSc in Aeronautical Engineering and MBA from Wits Business School, where he has also completed the Certificate Programme in Leadership Coaching. He is a Founders Circle member and a certified leadership coach, speaker and trainer with the John Maxwell Team, a member of Commensal, and an Accredited Associate of the Institute for Independent Business. He was voted the Commensal Gauteng Business Coach of the Year for 2014.
